Autumn 2: 

 Our big question for this half term is : Would you rather live in a hot or cold place?

 

This is a Geography based unit where we have been learning about lots of different hot and cold places. 

 

We have also been learning about this in our English units where we have written a factfile about Penguins, and now we are learning about Meerkats in our book 'Meerkat Mail'

In maths we have just started our shape topic where the children have been counting sides, counting vertices, drawing shapes and learning about lines of symmetry. 

Autumn 1

Our big question for this half term was 'Why do different animals live in different habitats?'

 

We have researched lots of different animals and even looked at different habitats around our school grounds.

In RE we have been thinking about how we can care for our world. The children did a fantastic job of litter picking! 

In DT we have been designing and making a chair for baby bear. We tested different materials and had to make different shapes to test which would be strongest.
