Science day

 

We spent the day testing how shapes moved through the air. We thought about how air resistance and gravity affect the shapes we made.

We also had a class competition to see who could make the best parachute, using our results and research to inform our decisions.

Growth mindset week

 

Throughout the week we have been learning all about how we can become better learners and have been introduced to a variety of characters along the way. We started off by thinking about what makes a good learner.

We have been doing lots of activities exploring mistake making, challenging ourselves, being more independent and persevering. 

We were given a really tricky task and explored what we could do to help us be more independent.

We also learnt all about the brain and how it works best when we are learning. We learnt how having a positive attitude and growth mindset will help us to learn rather than focusing on the negative aspects.
