5AG

World book day

In 5AG we spent the day, all cosy in our pyjamas,  reading lots of different books. We worked on book reviews about our favourite books from home and made book recommendations for other children in the class. In the afternoon we played a game where a group of children had to identify a book character by asking questions about that character. The rest of the class were only aloud to answer yes or no. It was quite difficult but the groups managed to identify each character in the end... with a few clues along the way!

5AG were also lucky enough to have a rugby session with the Leeds Rhinos coaches.

Here are some photographs from the day:

United kingdom topic - researching London landmarks

In 5AG we have been looking at the different properties of materials. This week we have used copper coins to test the hardness of a variety of different rocks. We did this by scratching the surface of the rocks and discussing the properties of each rock in our groups. We placed the rocks in order of hardest to softest.
