Leeds United Football Club Foundation Sponsored Penalty Shootout

Football is a firm favourite here at Bramley St Peter’s, so we teamed up with LUFC for a penalty shoot out. The children wore Leeds colours and attempted to score goals to raise money for our school and the Leeds Community Foundation. We had lots of fun shooting and scoring goals. Plus a visit from Kopkat was fantastic too.

Amazing Athletics - Bramley Olympics

Athletics has always been a favourite for us here at BSP and this year was no different. After learning the various areas during PE lessons, after school and working as a team, we took 30 children from Key Stage 1 and 2 to the Bramley Olympics where we competed against other schools in various track and field events. The children did absolutely amazing and we came second getting a silver medal. We are super proud of them all!

Elland Road Author Day with Tom Palmer

In the summer term some of our KS2 children were invited to Elland Road to take part in an author day with Tom Palmer. The children did a literacy activity based on a match report, got a tour of the stadium & media suite. They even got to meet Kopcat. The children had a fantastic day learning how English is used in sport and the media. This was thanks due to our partnership with LUFC Foundation.

Brownlee Triathlon Event

Fifty year 5 and 6 children attended the Brownlee Triathlon Event at the John Charles Centre where they had to swim, cycle and run.  The children had lots of fun and for many it was the first time doing such sports.

Skipping School

Here at Bramley St Peter’s we like to be as active as possible and this year is no exception. We have had Skipping School come in and work across the school to teach us quick and fun ways to skip. This boosts our physical and mental well-being. These sessions will be followed up with Years 2 and 4 taking part in a skipping festival later in the year.

Sensational Skipping

Netball

The year 5 and 6 children have had lots of fun playing Netball at school as we hosted a netball festival. This was an excellent opportunity for them to practise and refine their skills with help from the Leeds Rhino Foundation.
