Young Leaders Award

In 5CC, we have taken part in activities which help us to understand more about being a leader.

 

The Great Cup Challenge

We worked in teams to stack cups, but without touching any of the cups directly with our fingers - only elastic bands would do!

Good leader / bad leader

We used the 'Freeze Frame' technique to show examples of good and bad leadership. Can you guess which ones are which?

Science - Forces

Here we are investigating the effect air resistance has on objects. We all made paper helicopters and dropped them from the same height. We used ipads to record how long they took to fall to the floor. We then used scissors to cut the blades, making them smaller. We timed the drops again to see if there was any difference.

 

Our results showed that the helicopters with smaller blades fell more quickly because there was less area for air resistance to push against.
