Year 2 Beach Day.

We all had a fantastic time at our beach day. The sun even came out to join us.

We built some sandcastles and fished in rockpools.

Danny and Dillon the donkeys came to visit us.

We also enjoyed a fish and chips picnic and ice creams from the ice cream van.

Science Day

The challenge for the day was to construct the tallest free standing tower. We investigated which material we should use to build the towers and what would make the best glue.

Victoria and Tyrone built the tallest tower. It was 69cm tall.

There were some fantastic designs. It took a lot of perseverance to build all these amazing towers. Well done everybody!

Year 2 Trip to Harlow Carr Gardens

We had a fantastic trip to Harlow Carr Gardens. In the morning, we found out all about seeds and even got to plant some. It was a bit wet in the afternoon but we still had fun exploring the garden.

World Book Day

Our classroom was full of book characters.

Mrs Twit visited 2ED. She had lots of husbands to choose from.

Thank you to the parents who came to do some reading with us.

We had some visitors on Friday.They were helping us to learn more about habitats. We enjoyed stroking and holding them.

Growth mindset Week

We have been thinking about how amazing our brain is and how stretching our brain helps us to learn new things. We made models of the brain to learn about how different parts of the brain help us to do different things.

Making mistakes helps us to learn.

We started with a splodge of paint and turned the mistake into an amazing picture.
